Whether by accident or design, preferential parking restrictions are turning neighborhoods with public streets into what are essentially gated communities... - Conclusion Parking Study Status Report for LADOT.
Preferential Parking Updates
Franklin village does not support a preferential district for our neighborhood especially proposals brought forth by homeowners up the hill. We are looking to other solutions to satisfy the renters, homeowners and businesses some of which are outlined in the letter above. We will keep you up to date on upcoming meetings about this subject in our calendar section. From PPD rules: "This program is not intended to solve parking problems created by high-density residential development, nor is it designed to reduce crime." In other parking related news: Brian Gallagher, CD4's LADOT liaison, will be leaving his post. The new liaison will be introduced to the neighborhood at either the next general board meeting in August or possibly as soon as the next PS&T meeting next week. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
